I’m not quite sure where August went. It’s hard to believe we only have a handful of stories left to feature in our 31 Days of SMA campaign. In case you missed it, here are the ones we looked at over the weekend. Andres Gonzalez writes about resilience. Living in Venezuela he’s had plenty of challenges. He’s gone on to direct a short documentary on intimacy and disability that’s been recognized by international film festivals. Teri writes about being a nana to someone with SMA and the life lessons that have come with it. Being on the receiving end of caregivers is what Carolyn Barrett writes about. It can be difficult to depend on someone when you strive for independence, but it also can be rewarding. I encourage you to check out their full articles. Are there any in particular you relate to?
