I’m a seasonal decorator. I love it. Plus, I get bored with my living space, so adding decor that goes with the seasons gives my house a little extra pizazz.
One method that helps me is keeping a spreadsheet of all the decorations I own and where they are located. As my PCA is putting things away, I’m writing them down. For example, “Christmas tree – Michael’s box – left corner of the basement.”
Once it’s out of sight, I won’t remember where it is. That makes explaining where things are to my PCA rather tricky, especially when they don’t know what things look like. With my spreadsheet, I can refer back to it and give my PCA clear directions as to where things are. It saves a ton of time, too.
