• Finding a Mentor

It can be tough for anyone to find direction in life after graduating high school, and for us  SMA’ers, it’s even tougher. For me, the key was finding a mentor. He was able to identify my skill as a writer, and train me in the craft. My mentor is a big reason I got my job as a columnist. This is probably more applicable to young adults, but I would definitely recommend finding a mentor before anything else. Do any of you have similar experiences?

Thanks for sharing Ryan. I’ve been blessed with many great mentors in my life, and I agree that finding a good one is important. Especially in college, I found mentors through Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, professors and through the school newspaper.
