Group Streaming Christmas Movies
Safe to say many of us here have some sort of streaming account these days. Last night, my brother and I watched Home Alone through the Disney+ group streaming feature then FaceTimed to watch it “together.”
It was awesome. We love watching it together every year at Christmas, and if I’m being honest I’ve been really missing him this season. My brother and I are very close, so to be apart during this pandemic— especially during the holidays— has been extremely difficult. Although it wasn’t ideal, spending some time with him and watching one of our favorite movies virtually definitely brightened my spirits.
Have you used the group streaming feature on any of these streaming apps? How do they compare? I know Netflix has this feature too, but I’ve never used it. Too bad there isn’t a video chat option within the livestream. That’d be more convenient!

I miss (in person) movie night with a favorite cousin. I haven’t considered streaming a movie online together. I didn’t even know this existed until recently. It just doesn’t seem as if it would compare, but it beats not being together at all I s’pose.
On a side note, I was watching CNBC yesterday, and they interviewed a person who has developed a software shopping experience where multiple people can virtual shop together! In a crazy roundabout way, this pandemic has created technology which caters to our disability world. 🙂

Right? It feels like the world is becoming more accessible for people like us! Wish a global pandemic wasn’t what it took to get here, but oh well.
Definitely try out the group streaming thing with your cousin over video chat! It isn’t the same, but I also didn’t realize how badly I needed that time with my brother. It was so nice.
