Several people over the age of 25 have been approved, so I’ll definitely be bringing that up.

@DeAnn – All of the letters have come from CVS! Cigna is my primary but I get prescription drug insurance through CVS Pharmacy.

That’s so scary!! I’m glad it was able to help – it’s definitely a relief knowing it’s available if you need it.

Omg this is so real! I need caffeine to wake up or I’m just dead to the world 😂

Thank you so much for sharing, Tracy! That’s incredible. I’m considering moving out of my parents’ place so your story gives me such hope.

I know what you mean, Kelly! I dreamed of it, but I never ever thought it would happen, so I intentionally lived my life as though it wouldn’t.

I feel this so much. I wish I would’ve made a greater effort to “exercise” during quarantine! But hey, any amount of progress is good!

I’m so glad it helped, Emma! You’re definitely not alone – I struggled with jealousy a lot when Spinraza came out because it wasn’t available to me. I was happy for people in the community but sad for myself. Definitely a mix of emotions.

Sending you so much love. <3

Honestly, it barely affects me! It does the job, because my hallucinations are more or less a thing of the past, but I don’t really feel that it makes me drowsy or anything like that.

As far as I know, no, they’re not related! Hypnagogic hallucinations affect a lot of people, similar to sleep apnea.

Oh wow! So sorry to hear that. It seems like it hits everyone differently!

Hey! Thanks for sharing. I can definitely see where you’re coming from – it can be frustrating when people invalidate your feelings by labeling it as an internalized ism. Personally, I believe isms manifest in vastly different ways, so it’s always important to prioritize what people think and believe about their own experiences. One of my favorite sayings I retained from grad school is we’re all experts on our own lives, which feels applicable here. Any sort of internalized ism requires nuance and the ability to respect other people’s point of view so I’m glad you brought it up!
