| Short Bio | My daugther Haylee Anne Hynes is 10.5 years old trached gtubed vented 24/7 and been home sice she was 1year and 3months old after being in hospital for almost 1 year fighting for her right to live. Haylee is smart happy healthy and doing very well. She is recieveing spinraza treatment at this time and we are looking at 2 other treatments to start as well with in the year. Haylee is the oldest weak type 1 ever to survive in Ontario, Canada and as of these past 2 months our home hospital seems to be starting to change their tune about treating SMA type1 children. | How long have you or the person that you are caring for had SMA? | Birth diagnosed at 6 months old. After being recessatated by me for over 45mins at home and being air lifted to Toronto. 2.5 weeks later we were told SMA type 1 100% genetics testing. |
