Does anyone here deal with vestibular migraines? They are a special kind of hell, and I’ve been dealing with them for almost 3 years now. Basically, my head fills with pressure and I become dizzy to the point where I cannot move my head at all. If I do, it throws off my equilibrium.

I see a balance specialist but he doesn’t recommend any sort of dizzy medication for someone like me. So I essentially just live with it— sometimes it lasts a few days, other times a few weeks. As a result, I feel foggy, get motion sick in the car, and just overall feel crummy while still trying to work from home. I don’t recommend.

Do you suffer from this, and— if so— what helps you? Is it an SMA thing? I wonder if it’s, in part, due to positioning because my neck rotated to the right and, when I sit, it collapses.

Either way, I’m so over feeling this way!

I do get terrible migraines, but I’ve never heard of this particular kind. That sounds just awful! I’m guessing they are different enough that the remedies I try probably wouldn’t help. I hope you can find a solution!

Migraines are just awful period. Ugh— I’m sorry you go through them too. What do you do for your kind of migraines?

I usually take ibuprofen, but it takes a while to work. In the meantime, massage my forehead or brush my hair, and sit in the dark. And avoid food because the smell makes me feel like I will throw up. But, ironically, if I do throw up, it makes my head feel a lot better.
