Hey everyone. Just wanted to get the discussion going on this new forum.

Fundraisers are a great way to raise awareness about SMA. Whether you’re raising money for research, resources for SMA families and individuals, or to help fund an SMA individual’s education, all of these open opportunities for helping people better understand what SMA is.

Over the years my family and I have done fundraising events through churches, restaurants, MDA muscle walks and even a Comicon back when we were raising money for my JACO robotic arm.

I was wondering if you all had any stories and/or tips related to SMA fundraisers. Feel free to post pictures and videos as well.

I just want to let you know that we have been using Neighbors Fundraising For Neighbors (http://www.NF4N.org) an IRS approved 501 C 3 charity to help us do community fundraising for a number of projects that we have needed financial help with.

These people have been very responsive to us and have immediately informed us of all donations that have been made on our behalf. Also, they give us a monthly accounting of all money that has come into our account.

Check them out on their website, http://www.NF4N.org,  and or email them at [email protected] if you want to contact them for more information .
