Biography

My name is Ari Anderson and was diagnosed with SMA Type I at 6 months old. I have a trach and use a ventilator at night since the age of 2, but still live a full life! Ever striving to reach goals, I graduated from college with a B.S. in Science and a Master’s Level Certificate in Technical Writing. For the past 20 years I have also been a legislative advocate for the Medicaid program Private Duty Nursing (PDN). I use PDN to receive skilled nursing in my home.

I still have a tremendous amount to learn from others with SMA career-wise and how to get a message out faster and wider. I look forward to getting to know many of you and that we both can grow from new friendships!
