I am 47 years old with SMA. I worked for Lowe’s of Sumter for 15 years, as a Cashier for 5 of those years then the last 10 as a Head Cashier, until my SMA progressed at the end of 2020. I tried waiting and hoping that after starting Evrysdi my strength would come back, it did but not enough for me to continue driving and to go back to work to do my job up to the potential I was doing it before. Lowe’s gave me a leave of absence for a year then in January of 2022, resigned it was hard but I finally accepted it had to be done.
