Biography

I am mom to 2 beautiful children, Reed (8) & Payson (5). Reed was diagnosed at 16mo with Type 2 SMA.

I am so thankful for the medical advancements that have and continue to occur since SMA was introduced into our lives. I am also grateful to all of the amazing people we have met along our journey. The SMA community is strong, supportive & simply amazing.

Reed has been receiving Spinraza for 5 years now, he has had nothing but positive results continues to gain new strength and abilities. At the age of 4, he had a bi-lateral hip surgery. This was one of the best medical interventions we chose to go forward with. Reed just celebrated one year without a G-Tube!

Reed is a happy, adventurous & thrill seeking little boy. He loves to ride 4wheelers, dirt bikes and his electric bike…always has been fascinated by “things that go”.

Payson is such a beautiful blessing to our family. She is a natural care giver and loves with all of her heart. She truly finds joy in watching Reed overcome obstacles and she is always right by his side cheering him on!
