As I’m reading Halsey’s latest column I’m contemplating what I need to pack for an upcoming trip. Much of what Halsey says about choosing an outfit resonates with me. Especially the eyeballing the fit. For me though sometimes what’s comfortable for me isn’t easy for others to put on me. For example I like wearing jeans because they’re more supportive. Of course they’re difficult to get on. So, on a trip do I choose comfort or convenience?

What do you consider when choosing a wardrobe?

Fashion is so limited in the disability community. I definitely try to find a common ground where clothes are flexible enough to put on (well, for my caregivers to put on me) and are actually stylish. It’s tough because of how small I am though.
