SMA News Today published this article today regarding a new method for Spinraza injections. It was an interesting read that basically stated how the paramedian approach would aid the needle into the spine more easily in terms of position and angle. Findings show that this new approach is beneficial, even to those with severe scoliosis.

I’m definitely intrigued. I don’t know that I’m willing to switch to Risdiplam just yet, but I’d be lying if I said spinal injections are easy. My scoliosis is at about 110 degrees, and I think that tells you everything you need to know about how difficult lumbar punctures can be. A new method that is supposedly more effective might make sense for me.

    What do you think?
