    Welcome to the diagnosis information and general questions forum. This is a public forum designed primarily for parents of newly diagnosed SMA patients. The diagnosis stage can be incredibly difficult to process, and we want to make this a place to ask questions and acquire the information you need.

    To start this discussion, please post brief introductions of yourselves and what you all hope to gain from this forum. I am a 24 year-old with SMA Type II, and can hopefully provide some helpful information and guidance regarding SMA and treatment options. This will also be a place for veteran SMA parents and caregivers to give advice as well.
