How I adapted my Kindle remote to read more easily
Thought I would share my latest column with you! I use a Kindle to read; however, it’s often cumbersome for me, so I have trouble tapping the screen to turn the pages as a result. I bought a Kindle remote on Amazon, hoping to solve my problem, but I wasn’t strong enough to push the button.
So, I adapted just like I do in other areas of my life. My brother is an electrical engineer, so I asked him if there was anything he could do to allow me to push the button. Together, we replaced the button with a touchpad (that barely requires any touch at all), and now I’m able to read freely and easily again!
I wrote about it in my latest column, but I also wanted to share it here because it has been a game-changer for me. SMA robs us of so much, but every now and then, these little victories help us reclaim a sense of our independence.
What type of gadgets have you adapted to your needs?
P.S. Send me book recommendations. I can’t stop reading!
