My iron levels were also recently found to be low. I’ve been taking a liquid iron supplement by mouth for about a week. It’s not too bad, I was expecting a nasty metal taste but you only get a bit of that in aftertaste. Like someone else said, if you can incorporate spinach into your diet that could also help. Beet and carrot juice is also good

      Hi DeAnn,

Wow that sounds like a horrible experience!! I’m glad you eventually got well enough to go home. I can’t imagine how difficult the situation must have been. It really sucks that we have to constantly advocate for ourselves. I’m glad this forum exists, it allows us to share our experiences so hopefully the next person has a better experience.

I don’t have a feeding tube so the plan is to do it laparoscopically. I will definitely bring up positioning, I was already thinking about it but for different issues (not having a muscle pulled/sores developing). I only use a bipap while I sleep. My doctor also said he would get clearance from my neurologist and pulmonologist howver I was just transferred to this adult hospital last year and have really only seen them twice. Which makes me feel a bit iffy if they will cover all their bases. I think the link and pdf will help a lot though. I will share with my doctor so he is aware and the team can do more research on dealing with nmd patients.

Thank you so much for all the resources and for sharing your experience!

Thank you so much! I hope so too. I’m glad you hardly experienced symptoms and decided to get vaccinated 🙂

Thank you! I just read your post. I’m glad it was just a scare for you. Hopefully it is the same here. Aw thank you, I really needed that. I get anxious very easily and my mind was already spiraling, but you’re right. They have a lot more experience now and can offer some treatment options.

Thank you! I’m glad you experienced mild symptoms and felt better. Apparently he was exposed to it since Sunday and the rest of us haven’t shown any symptoms so fingers crossed it remains that way and it’s just him. I’ll definitely stay on top of my breaking treatments

Hi Kevin! Remote work is awesome, I’m currently doing my master’s online and I love it. The commute to campus was not it, traffic is horrible.

Oo another writer. That’s really good, I was always average in my English classes. Writing was not really my thing. I do enjoy reading though. Is there a specific genre you like to write about?

Hi DeAnn! Haha yeah accounting can be tough for sure. I’ve really enjoyed it and I’m getting my master’s as it will help me meet course requirements to sit for the CPA exam. I’m interested in doing tax so that’s what my focus is on for my master’s. Thank you for the warm welcome!

I moved here when I was young 5 or 6 years old. I’m not sure, maybe because I was a child? I became a citizen pretty soon after. My disability was also not as severe when we first moved here, I could still walk a bit.

Hi Alyssa! Oh wow, that’s awesome! Is there a page to check out the clothing? I’d love to support the business. Haha yeah accounting is definitely something. I took a class my senior year of high school and really enjoyed it so I decided why not major in it. It was going to be either accounting or business info systems/MIS.

Hi Blake! That’s awesome, I think if I hadn’t gone with accounting I might have done something similar to BIS. I’m not a computer nerd but I took a computer programming class in high school which I really enjoyed and then 2 intro classes to BIS.
