Hello there. I read your post and I wanted to share my experience. In late November/early December of 2021 (can’t remember which one), I tested positive for covid after my sister and parents had gotten sick from it. Miraculously, I never got any symptoms whatsoever, except for maybe some sniffles, which could also have been from the cold weather. It was very scary for me and my family when they got sick, though, because I was afraid I’d get very sick, so I understand how you feel. I recently got vaccinated on June 13. I waited awhile because I was scared how my body would react, but I finally got it because I knew I’d be protected, and I was also tired of not being able to do things I wanted to because of my parents telling me I’m not vaccinated. I still have to get my second shot, but at least I’m somewhat protected now. Anyways, I hope you and your parents stay safe and healthy, or at least don’t get too sick, and hopefully your brother recovers soon. ????????

So are they increasing the monthly amount SSI recipients receive, and if so what’s the new amount? Also when it says married couples what exactly does that mean? Does that mean two disabled adults who are married or does that also include one disabled adult married to a healthy adult? Sorry for all the questions I’m naive with all this stuff.

Hi everyone! My name is Angela. Nice to meet you all! 🙂

    1. I’m from Michigan, U.S.

    2. I’m 18 years old and I have SMA Type II.

    3. I like that being disabled has taught me that you shouldn’t judge a person based on their visible strength or abilities. Sometimes disabilities can be very apparent and visible, and other times they are not so visible, but you should never judge or assume things about someone just based off of their health appearance because you don’t know their actual diagnosis.

    4. Team cats! ???????? My big sister has a cat and I absolutely love her! I’ve always loved cats, especially kittens, because they’re so cute and cuddly. But I also really like dogs too, especially Pomeranians and Yorkies! Dogs are a lot of work though, so that’s why I’d say cats are better because they’re more independent, but I’d still love to have a dog someday. I really love animals in general.

    5. My favorite hobby is gaming. I game on my iPod touch because it’s small and easy for me to use. My favorite games are Sims Mobile, Love Nikki-Dress UP Queen, Avakin Life, Call of Duty Mobile, Candy Crush & Candy Crush Soda Saga, and Episode.

Thanks for the information! When did you get your back surgery? I got mine in elementary school so I’ve had my rods for years, so it’s not really that sensitive and I don’t think the scar is still there (not that I can tell), but since you said that it does make me really nervous now about how painful it’ll be, not to mention the tattoo I want is huge so it’ll take a long time. Maybe I’ll talk to my MDA doctors about it. I just really really love fairies and I want a tattoo to make me feel like one. Do they give you numbing cream before doing the tattoo?

Oh yeah those stores are really good too. I just don’t know if XS or XXS would fit me. My mom does my shopping for me so she knows what fits me and what doesn’t. Unfortunately though most of my clothes don’t look very grown up though. I love cute clothes but sometimes I want to look grown up too! I weigh 40 lbs and I’m almost 5’ tall but my shoulders and chest is very narrow due to my very small lungs. So basically I’m like a string bean, long and skinny! ???? I found one Lolita clothing website where you can type in your body measurements and they tailor the clothes to your measurements, which is perfect for me and I plan to use it eventually. I just wish there were more sites like that because obviously I wouldn’t wear Lolita clothing every day and everywhere since it’s too fancy. I’ll definitely check out your website though! 🙂

Hi Alyssa! I usually don’t get out of the house much to shop but my favorite shops are probably GAP Kids (I’m very underweight so I have to shop in the kids department which really sucks), Kohl’s, Target and Old Navy. I’m really into cute fashion and Lolita fashion. I love other styles too though like alternative and goth. I read one of your recent posts about dealing without caregivers during the pandemic. In your bio underneath the post I noticed it said you’re the director of an adaptive fashion company. I think that’s really cool. What’s the name of it? I was actually thinking about starting my own company too until I realized it would be too exhausting for me. Maybe I could give you some ideas? 🙂

Hi everyone! My name is Angela, I’m 18 years old, from Michigan, and I have SMA Type II. I was diagnosed at 2 years old I believe. I just joined this community last night. I’m looking to make friends with girls close to my age. I’ve had trouble finding girls with Type II that are close to my age so I’m hoping to find some friends on here.

I graduated from high school last year and I currently am not working but I have big dreams to make an online game. I can’t code though and I’m not a great artist (not to mention my arms are very weak) so I’m hoping to find some people to help me bring my ideas to life.

On my free time I game and watch TV. I love fashion and makeup, and I love fantasy things, especially fairies and mermaids and unicorns! I love discussing these topics. I’m also passionate about helping animals and it makes me feel really good when I sign petitions to help animals and completing quick online actions to help animals.

Thanks for reading my bio and have a great day! 🙂
