Alyssa is a writer based out of a quiet, small town in the smallest state. A few years ago, she stumbled across her passion for writing when she began to share her personal story about living with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) type I through a blog. By getting personal and being open about her trials and triumphs, she wanted the world to know that SMA can put up a good fight, but we can always fight back remarkably harder.
