  Splitting up the Caregiving Responsibilities

  Hello all. In Michael Casten’s column this week, he brought up a good point about how the parents of an SMA child have to divide caregiving responsibilities among themselves. You want to figure out a routine that works best for you and your partner, and it can be challenging.

  I’d love to hear your perspectives on this topic. This is also a good time for any veteran parents to offer advice to younger parents. How does your caregiving routine work? How do you divide up the responsibilities among you and your spouse/partner? What do you do when one of you gets sick?
