Happy Tuesday, everyone! My latest column came out yesterday, which I was admittedly a little nervous about. I’ve been considering antidepressants for years, but could never quite get past my fear—of what, I’m still not sure. But I’m happy to say I finally took the plunge last week!

My GP prescribed Prozac, which helps with both anxiety and depression. I’ve only been taking it for a week, so it’s too early to tell for sure, but I think I’ve noticed a difference. My mood has been more stable, especially at night, which is usually when I struggle the most. Of course, that could easily be attributed to Daylight Savings Time as well, but either way, I’ve been enjoying the change in pace. I have a follow-up appointment scheduled in a few weeks.

For those of you who have lived with depression, have you tried medication? If so, has it made a difference?
