Tips for Keeping Your Child Safe During Cold and Flu Season
Last week, I hopped on here to ask what your protocol was in keeping children with SMA home from school during the cold and flu season.
During my time in school, I followed many of the suggestions in this article, but what really stood out to me was letting the school know about your child’s needs. Communication is key when it comes to your child’s educational success. On the first day of a new year, my parents and I would discuss my needs (and the dangers of cold and flu season) to all those a part of my academia. Then, throughout the year, we give reminders about the needs we originally discussed. As I got older, I became more proactive as well.
In reading through these suggestions, is there something that stands out for you? What are some foolproof tips you highly recommend?
