hi everyone. i posted on facebook looking for full time pca for virginia beach especially with me moving back to my support system so if you spread the word i appreciate it. other websites like craigslist and care.com cannot be trusted unless the person gives information like social security number. i am moving to a 2 bedroom, so it gives them privousy. i also found a type 2 on facebook that is 61. he works full time and both his parents passed away years ago. he manages his caregivers so i look to him for inspiration. also, i talked to my sister and the smart choice is to move in with her family. she gets 20 hours a week of a caregiving via insurance. i mentioned to her family to move to florida. there is no income taxes, warmer weather, and more medical resources, especially in orlando area (yeah disney). i am trying to get my 20 years in federal government as my job to get a pension in 6 years and 6 months, and i hope they can start to reverse the damage caused to us via the disease by that time. i know another type 2 who works at the VA in florida. thanks everybody

Hey, Chris. Best of luck on finding a caregiver. Do you know of any self-directed programs that help with finding PCAs in Virginia? They might be able to give you some guidance, too.
