  • How do you get through the holiday stress?

Posted by alyssa-silva on December 18, 2025 at 11:41 am

The holiday season is upon us, and I’d love to hear how everyone prepares. After all, this time of year can feel extra stressful, trying to keep up with the usual holiday chaos.

What helps you get through it? Are there any strategies you’re planning to lean on this year? With Christmas and Hanukkah, do you and your family have plans to keep things festive while also minimizing any potential health risks?

It can be such a tough balance, let alone all the emotions that the holidays can stir up. Remember that you’re not alone in this. Your feelings are valid, and we’re here for you if you need us.

Recently, I’ve been attending a local church more regularly. My wife and I are volunteering at our church for multiple Christmas services helping out where we can and being around people who do not judge me for my condition. I also try to relax more since I’m self-employed and enjoy the quiet in downtime, spending more time with family and less time at work.

Not the best coping mechanism …but i make a very strong cocktail that is basically just rum and sip it throughout the day. Someone says something annoying, a big sip. Basically treat it like a drinking game. Hey…it works lol

Before I saw that you said treat it like a drinking game, I thought to myself, “Hey, this would be a fun drinking game.” 😆
