For Claudia, having a mom with SMA is all she has ever known. She’s accustomed to the stares out in public. The questions. The fact that they do things differently than other families. Their normal is very much not normal to others.
But Claudia brings up a great point in saying no one is, in fact, normal. Rather, we are all different. No two people are the same. And SMA Awareness Month is all about celebrating these differences.
