Establishing Goals for Physical Therapy
I’ve been doing aquatic therapy for about three years now, and I’ve only recently started thinking about what I want to get out of each session. When I first started this process, I didn’t go in with any expectations. Now however that I’m seeing improvements and I feel stronger, I’m trying to really push myself when I do PT. I keep doing stretches even after I’m tired, and I’ve also been doing some exercises at home in my chair.
For those of you who do any form of physical therapy, do you set goals for yourself? Do you think about how you want to gain more strength?
If you don’t do physical therapy but are considering it, what questions do you have?
