Happy Disability Pride 2025!
As we’ve rolled from June into July, those of us with disabilities now have a different type of pride to embrace and celebrate. On behalf of myself and the SMA News Today team, happy Disability Pride to all our forum members! Whether you’re a patient, caregiver, or healthcare provider, this is a good time to reflect on how disabilities can lead us to incredible things in life.

I think this Disability Pride is the most comfortable I’ve been in my skin, funnily enough. I don’t think I’ve ever had as much confidence in my work, body, and personality as now. A lot of that has to do with Evrysdi, but it also has to do with being able to make a difference in the world, surrounding myself with supportive people, and recognising that there are non-disabled people out there who don’t have their lives and what they want quite as figured out.
