Our columnist, Katie Napiwocki, wrote a beautiful piece recently on how she feel about being called a warrior, living with SMA in a positive manner, and, well, bumblebees.
As Katie explained, I, too, consider myself a warrior but understand how some of our community may not share these sentiments. And that’s okay. We can’t control others’ thoughts but we can control what we think of ourselves.
I always look forward to reading Katie’s words. She is truly a prolific writer. Her analogies and ability to transcribe her feelings into words that resonate are admirable. This column is one I was particularly fond of.
How do you feel about being called a warrior or another word similar to its meaning?
