Hayleigh’s passion is music and film. She just graduated with a university degree in film studies and hopes to one day become a writer and director. Hayleigh admits that having a muscle-wasting disorder can be extremely challenging, but she believes she’s a good example for others that having SMA doesn’t have to be an obstacle to getting what you want out of life.

As an advocate for people with disabilities, Hayleigh has set up a campaign called Plane Fair, where she lobbies airlines to allow people to take their own wheelchairs onboard flights.
