The Mayers realized something was wrong when Philly suddenly stopped walking in his baby walker just before his first birthday. A few weeks later, he refused to stand. After many tests, they learned that Philly had SMA, The Mayers were told their little boy would only live until he was seven, but at nine years old, he’s still going strong.
