Zyah Goss-Pittman from Jefferson, Georgia, is a fun-loving, spunky seven-year-old who is proving doctors wrong whenever she can. Diagnosed at 15 months old with type II spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), Zyah has spent much of her life in and out of the hospital and has to have hours of treatments each day to keep her chest clear.

As Zyah gets bigger and older, maneuvering her wheelchair in and out of the family minivan is becoming more difficult, and because the minivan is old it’s not possible to fit it with a wheelchair lift system.

Zyah’s family is asking for help to raise money for a new minivan that can be equipped with a wheelchair life system making family outings and running errands much easier for Zyah and her parents.  They are planning a Zumba event to help raise funds to take place on Saturday, March 25.
