Have you heard about the ASCEND trial?
Most SMA trials don’t apply to me. I must admit I got a little excited when I heard about the upcoming high-dose Spinraza trial ASCEND . It’s not often that I meet the study criteria. This time I checked all the boxes. Here’s my vlog talking about it.
Even though I’m currently on Evrysdi, I don’t feel it’s as effective for me as Spinraza was. I can only imagine the extra boost a higher dose of Spinraza would give. But that’s what I’ll have to do, imagine.
When I clicked on the link for participating sites, Minnesota didn’t even make the list. Driving 7 hours for treatment just doesn’t seem feasible. Darn it. I am tempted to email the site to inquire about it anyway.
Have you heard about the trial? What are your thoughts on a higher Spinraza dose?
