Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Check out Alyssa’s latest column here. She writes about the stress of fundraising season. This will be her 10th annual gala for SMA, which is impressive as is. It’s even more impressive when you read about all the work she puts into the events. Alyssa has 25 people on her team, but as she puts it, “It requires a hefty load of work, a sacrifice of time and energy, and lots of creativity to make each event different and more exciting than the last.”

Despite the stress, Alyssa is keeping her eyes on the horizon. With Spinraza, Zolgensma, and other treatments in development, it’s easier than ever to remind herself why she works as hard as she does. The stress never goes away completely, but Alyssa does what she does for her friends with SMA who passed before treatments came on the scene, for kids whose lives will be transformed by the money raised. She keeps her eyes on the bigger picture.

Thanks, Alyssa, for all you do for the community!
