I’ve always been a firm believer that practicing gratitude is a life-changing tool. It gives perspective. It challenges us to find joy amid the pain. And, overall, it makes us simply feel better.

Katie Napiwocki wrote about gratitude in her most recent column and beautifully illustrated the impact gratitude has made in her life through a hike in the woods. I always love reading Katie’s columns. In this column, I love when she said, “when we are happy with ourselves, it is easier to spread our wings and lift those who are traveling behind us.”

Do you use gratitude as a tool in your own life? I do, and it has truly made a difference in my life— especially this year.
