NPR 5 min. Podcast on cost of Zolgensma
NPR did a story today on the outrageous cost of Zolgensma and is it worth it. They have a family on the program whose child is getting Spinraza but can’t wait to get Zolgensma. The reporter briefly explains about SMA and the 2 treatments. I believe this child has type I, although they never say. It’s an interesting little listen for 5 mins. See what you think.

Just got a chance to listen to this. I would venture to say that the child is Type 1 also. Though in my experience, mainstream media outlets tend to give pretty generic descriptions of SMA when they cover it. They rarely distinguish between types. Still, this was interesting. Thanks for sharing.
