So, unfortunately, six months in and out of the hospital does undesirable things to your skin. I’ve had to learn that the hard way, leaving my skincare routine behind as I recovered from nausea.

I’ve since restarted it and added a new moisturizer, and my skin is slowly but surely healing. Still, if anyone has any recommendations that’ll help speed up the process, I’d love to hear them. I’ve got oily skin with some dry patches, for reference.

Do you have any skincare recommendations?

Hmmm, what type of moisturizer are you using now?

Water-based moisturizers are ideal for oily skin, while cream-based moisturizers are better for dry skin. I’d play around with the different types and see what works best since you have a combination of both. I have an oily t-zone but stick to cream moisturizers in the winter; then I switch to water-based in the summer. Also, I love using Aquaphor for my lips. Works like a CHARM.

I was cheap, and decided to pick up ColorPop’s papaya face milk as my moisturiser when they were having a sale. 😂 My face seems happy with the light consistency – it’s sensitive, so breakouts happen fairly quick if it doesn’t like something – but I may switch to something else once Sephora has a sale. Maybe something gel-based.

Will definitely look into Aquaphor in the meantime!
