Reclaiming Tiny Tim
Many of us do not like the way disabled people are often portrayed in media. Whenever I hear discussions about it, my gut reaction is if we want to be portrayed the way we want to be portrayed, we should be writing and producing such projects ourselves. I decided to put my money where my mouth is and produce a short reel. The Dickens character Tiny Tim is considered by many an example of a stereotypical stock portrayal of a disabled person. I have decided to reclaim Tiny Tim Cratchett and portray him the way I would like to see him portrayed. If you moderators feel that this is not appropriate material for this forum there will be no hard feelings if you decide to delete the post. If you choose to let it stay, thank you.
