  • Ways to Nurture Your Mental Health

    Tis the season for darkness, chilly weather, and seasonal affective disorder, unfortunately. I can already feel the doldrums of winter starting to creep into my mind as I watch the sun set at 4:30 pm. These next few months are always challenging on my mental health, especially because I stay home more during cold and flu season. But I’ve started to make a list of things to do during my imminent hibernation, a list of non-negotiables, if you will, of things that I will incorporate into my winter routine to keep my spirits up regardless of other obligations that may arise. Meditation, going to therapy, and doing daily activities that bring me joy (ex drawing) are a few. What do you do during the winter months to nurture your mental health?
