Often one of the most frustrating things about dealing with a chronic illness is trying to decipher health insurance and what it means for you and your family. The non-profit organization Cure SMA has released a booklet offering patients and caregivers valuable advice about health insurance.

Read about the four different areas of SMA management.

The booklet is available both in print and as a download format and will cover all aspects of health insurance for people with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and their families. It covers all aspects, including the different types of insurance available, what you or your child will be eligible for, how to calculate costs not covered by the insurance policy, and whether insurance companies will cover new upcoming treatments.

Read about five frequently asked questions about spinal muscular atrophy.
