Great article. I didn’t read it with a fine tooth comb, but got the general idea. It reminded me of when I was on SSI and it would be Christmas bonus time. I would be greatfull accepting the bonus, but while everyone was getting X amount, mine would end up being 1/2 of X becase SSI was reduced .50 for every $1 earned. My boss knew I was getting disability benefits, and didn’t want to mess anything up so he started giving my service dog a gift card to the vet instead. Now that I’m strictly on SSDI my income is more consistent. Even though there are still limitations I don’t have to be as concerned about being short the next month if I make a little more one month.
