How do you navigate visits with friends?
My recent video was inspired by a simple question posed on social media by our local radio station. They asked, “Growing up, what did your friends’ houses have that yours didn’t?” As you might imagine, the most common answers differed greatly from my initial reaction. What would your response be?
It’s always been challenging navigating visits to family and friends. As luck would have it, I also share about a recent unexpected visit with friends (spoiler alert: prepare yourself for puppy pictures).

We definitely had the same response to that radio DJ’s question. I had a feeling we would, lol. I’ve been small my entire life, so it has been *fairly* easy to get into people’s houses. That said, not everyone can pick me up. Plus, not having my wheelchair in their homes didn’t do me much good. Did you ever have a portable ramp? Sometimes, if there were only a couple of steps, I’d use that!

Portable ramps are a great suggestion. We used one to access a craft sale in someone’s shop that had a step. It seems like there are a lot of ramp options available too. Do you have any recommendations?
