Despite 5″ of snow falling overnight, spring is right around the corner. After the snow inevitably melts I’m looking forward to getting out and about more with my service dog Horton. However I’m struggling with leash management. On my old chair I had a hook I connected the leash to. On this chair there’s nothing to loop it on. We’re not really supposed to connect it to our chair anyway, but I feel more comfortable doing that. Any suggestions? I’m also struggling getting his leash on and off myself. I changed the hook so I can put it on myself, but I don’t have the dexterity to pinch it to take it off. Again if you have any insight on something that would work better I’m all ears.

Hey DeAnn. I use carabiner clips, similar to this, for my service dog. My wheelchair doesn’t have a hook either, so we loop it through a random part on the chair then use those clips to make it secure.
