What Not to Say to Adults with Disabilities
I came across this article earlier, and it brings to light some great points about awkward interactions with people with disabilities. I’m sure everyone here can relate, and often there are able-bodied folks who talk down to people with disabilities and unintentionally treat us like children. It’s a common mistake that a lot of people make, and this article does a great job pointing out those mistakes.
I really encourage everyone here to read this article and share it, as it’s a discussion that needs so as to break down these stereotypes.
