We’ve been in the COVID quarantine for over two months now, and I think it’s safe to say we’ve fallen into new rhythms and routines that are far from what we once considered normal.

For me, personally, I’ve picked up an old hobby that I would always say I didn’t have time for— creating art. Now… I arguably have TOO much time on my hands, but it has felt so good getting back to doing what I once loved but deemed not worth my time.

Pursuing this activity has, in turn, also helped me mentally. Knowing I might not resume normal activity for a while is cause for stress, but at least I have my art to keep me distracted and happy during this time.

Have you picked up old hobbies (or even started a new one!) that you wouldn’t in normal times? Would you say it has helped pass the time easier?

During the winter I love crafting.  Now that summer is on our doorstep I like spending time outside, so I make my backyard my oasis.  I’m going to try my hand at flying a drone this summer too.
