Hey everyone! Hope you’re all having a great week.
Check out the latest episode of Ryan’s Robotics here. I talk about the Dynamic Arm Support, which is another device that Kinova Robotics makes. A Kinova rep spoke with me, and did a full demonstration of this device. It’s something that a lot of people here might find useful.
Hope you all enjoy this video! If you haven’t already, please subscribe to the SMA News Today YouTube channel. We’d greatly appreciate it.
Do you have any questions about the Kinova arm support?
Thanks for the video Ryan. I was able to demo this a couple days ago. Unfortunately it did not work for me. Although it allowed me to move my arm up and down the device actually inhibited my outward reach. I did not have the strength to reach out against the device holding my arm. Despite my disappointment, I encourage others interested to give it a try. Just go into it knowing you may need more of your own arm movement for it to be effective.
This is great! It’s good to see that there are other options for people who may not be physically limited enough to need a JACO, but who still need support. DeAnn, have you tried a JACO?
