Meet Regina and Al. Their friendship and respect for one another all started at a fundraiser before a Phillies baseball game in 2019. “I watched Regina give a beautiful speech at the event about her recently diagnosed son, Shane,” recalled Al. “I thought to myself, ‘My friends at Cure SMA need to meet this amazing mom and get her involved.’”
I’m on an antibiotic for a possible sinus infection (yay), but I also took a Sudafed today, just because the pressure was starting to get to me. I was telling my PCA about the side effects of Sudafed that I experience, like fatigue, nausea, and cold sweats. She mentioned the possibility of me metabolizing it differently because I’m taking the medicine through my G-tube, which got me wondering.
Have any of you experienced funky side effects that might be due to metabolization? My PCA mentioned Genesight testing, which is specifically for depression but can be used to determine how your body metabolizes certain medications. I might check it out!
