Has anyone seen “Special” on Netflix? I know I’m a little late to the party here as the second, and latest, season premiered over the summer, but I recently started watching it and love it.

Basically, it’s a comedy series about a man with cerebral palsy and his experiences with family, friends, work, etc. That man is Ryan O’Connell, and he stars, writes, and executive produces the show. I know it’s not about SMA, but it’s super cool to see the disability representation. And Ryan is hilarious, too.

I finally started watching this as well. It’s great! The writing is poignant, hilarious, and touching. I love how quirky the characters are, and how it tackles the nuances of living with a less visible disability. Highly recommend!
