The Cure SMA Conference 2018
The annual Cure SMA conference will take place in Dallas, Texas this year. It will be from June 14-17, and you can find out more information at http://www.curesma.org.
Who all is going this year? I’m going with my parents and my caregiver, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting new people. What I like about how the conferences are organized now is that they include a lot more events for adults with SMA. The conference used to be solely focused on research, and then there was a daycare center for kids. Now, there are panels for adults with SMA to connect, panels on college and finding a job, etc. Cure SMA has really done a good job of creating more opportunities for both patients and parents/caregivers who attend.
Hope to see some of you there! I’ll also be on the “It’s a Wonderful Life” panel on the Sunday of the conference.
