In his most recent column, our pal Kevin writes about some of the ”rare” relationships he has with friends that may have not otherwise come to fruition if it weren’t for his rare disease.
This got me thinking about all the positive things in my life that have been a result of living with a rare disease like SMA— my rare relationships with others included. I think it’s easy to focus on the hard stuff and all the challenges we face, but there are so many wonderful things to be grateful for, too.
