In the never-ending roller coaster that is life with SMA, it’s easy to overlook the small victories. But, wouldn’t you say they often mean the most? Let’s take a moment to pat ourselves on the back today.

From speaking up for yourself to learning something new, what recent win deserves a shout-out?

I started a clinical trial a little less than a month ago. I drive 6.5 hours each way to visit the clinic. The trial is double-blind, but I feel like I was on the real treatment. I was able to lift more weight in the gym, get up off the floor more easily, and get out of bed with less effort. Being able to lift even an extra pound in three weeks, let alone three pounds is an exciting accomplishment.

Wow! That’s great @JeffS … are you allowed (and, of course, willing) to share more about the trial you’re on?
