In this video from The Joy FM, we see part of the Florida-based radio station’s 30-year celebration, 30 Wishes. The eighth wish that the team wanted to grant was for nine-year-old Jamey and his family.

Find out about the fourth grader who made her classmate’s dream come true.

Jamey has spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and his wish was for a roll-in shower so that his family wouldn’t have to go through the inconvenience of trying to wash him in a regular bathtub. Because Jamey has had numerous spinal surgeries and has metal rods in his spine, laying down in a bathtub was awkward and uncomfortable, it was also difficult for his mom and dad to bathe him as he grew bigger and was heavier to handle. The new walk-in shower room offers a new way of doing an everyday task.

Find out how Bryce handles being a junior high school student with SMA.
